Every device in the network<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Understanding Computer Networks<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a computer network there are several essential components or devices needed to build a computer network.\u00a0<strong>A computer network is<\/strong>\u00a0a collection of computer devices connected to each other to share information, data, or communication protocols that work together to enable data communication between devices.\u00a0The benefit of a computer network is to exchange data and information between one computer and another computer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Computer networks can be divided into several types, based on their coverage area, namely: PAN, LAN, CAN, MAN, WAN and Internet.\u00a0In its implementation, there is a design scheme for building a computer network, known as topology.\u00a0<strong>Network topology is<\/strong>\u00a0a structure or arrangement of connections between devices contained in a computer network.\u00a0Network Topology determines how devices in a network communicate with each other.\u00a0There are various network topologies ranging from bus network topology, ring network topology, star network topology, mesh network topology, and tree network topology.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_143218\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"text-align: id=\"Perangkat_Koneksi_Networking_Devices\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Connection Devices\u00a0<em>(Networking Devices)<\/em><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Router\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Routers<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A router is a device that connects a local network with an external network (such as the internet).\u00a0Routers also function to direct data traffic between computer networks.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Switch\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Switches<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Switch is the same device as Hub.\u00a0The switch functions to communicate between devices on a network with each other.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Hub\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Hub<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A hub is a device that connects other devices on a network without regard to the destination address.\u00a0The difference between hubs and switches is that hubs are usually less efficient than switches.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Access_Point\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Access Points<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Access Point is a device that functions to provide wireless access to a network.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Komputer_Klien_dan_Server\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Client and Server Computers<\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Komputer_Klien\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Client Computer<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Client Computer is the hardware used by end users to be able to access resources from the server.\u00a0Example: laptops and PCs<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Komputer_server\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Server computer<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A server computer is a device that provides resources to client computers, for example: file servers, web servers.\u00a0The Server component functions to store and provide access to various resources and services on the network.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Perangkat_IoT_Internet_of_Things\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>IoT (Internet of Things) Devices<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IoT (Internet of Things) devices are devices that can be sensors on the transmitter or receiver side such as sensors, cameras, or other smart devices connected to a are various types of cables that we use today, such as fiber optic cables and copper (coaxial) cables.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Wireless_Wi-Fi\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Wireless (Wi-Fi)<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wireless\u00a0<em>(Wi-Fi)<\/em>\u00a0is a transmission medium based on electromagnetic waves (radio) to transfer data without using physical cables (Wireless).\u00a0Apart from Wi-Fi, another widely used wireless technology is Bluetooth.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Perangkat_Lunak_Software\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Software\u00a0<em>(Software)<\/em><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span IP addresses, DNS can help in searching for resources on the internet.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"DHCP_Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a protocol used to provide network configuration (such as IP Address) to devices on the network.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"SNMP_Simple_Network_Management_Protocol\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a protocol used to manage and monitor network devices, allowing network managers to retrieve information from monitored devices.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"ICMP_Internet_Control_Message_Protocol\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol)<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) is a protocol for sending control and error messages in a network, including the ping command.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Sistem_Operasi_Jaringan\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Network Operating Systems<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Network Operating System is computer network software in the form of Windows Server, Linux which is able to facilitate network resource management, security and other services.\u00a0The Network Operating
