Activity diagrams are<\/strong><\/a> patterns used in modeling business processes. Apart from that, it is also applied to information systems to represent the sequence of activities or actions in a process.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This diagram shows the activities in the process, the sequence of the activities, and the actions that occur in each activity.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The existence of an activity diagram<\/strong> can show decisions or branches in a process.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This diagram is often used to aid understanding and analysis. This model is also used to design or improve an information system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The function of an Activity Diagram is <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The functions in the activity diagram<\/strong> are none other than part of the business process model. It shows how an activity is processed or executed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diagram is also a useful visualization tool for identifying problems in business processes, reducing redundancy and increasing efficiency.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following are several functions in the activity diagram along with examples of their application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shows the state of the system <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Through the example activity diagram<\/strong> created, the relationship between flows and their conditions will be easier to understand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, the diagram shows how the process changes from one state to another.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understand special conditions <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging from the meaning of the activity diagram<\/strong> itself, it can show the scheme and special conditions in the system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diagram will show how the process should be carried out when there are special conditions that affect the process.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increase efficiency <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are various activity diagram symbols<\/strong> that are used to increase efficiency in business processes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symbols are divided into several categories, namely:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Start point: The starting point of the process <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • End point: The end point of the job <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Activity: Process flow in ongoing business <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Decision: Indicates a choice or decision <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Fork: Explains that there is one main activity which will be followed by two or more other activities <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • State transition: Used as a reference for moving state <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Swimlane: Grouping activities according to actors <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The characters in the diagram show how the same tasks can be executed simultaneously. Then how can unnecessary tasks be eliminated?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
