This event was attended by lecturers and website managers in the Telkom University campus environment. This workshop aims to improve the integrity of the branding of the main Telkom campus and branch campuses, through the use of Google my Business and Wikipedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workshop Objectives and Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This online workshop provides an in-depth understanding of the importance of using Google My Business and Wikipedia. The following are the main objectives of the Google My Business and Wikipedia workshop, namely<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>increase its visibility in Google search results and Google Maps<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>enhance the credibility and reputation of the institution<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>assist Telkom University in promoting academic programs, events, and available facilities<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Having detailed and verified information on Wikipedia can help in building a positive image and attracting media attention.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have accurate and up-to-date information on platforms like GMB and Wikipedia.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop was presented by Mr. Hilfan Soeltansyah as Head of Content and IT Resources and continued by Mujaddid Halimurrosyid and Ms. Dhea Ardina. Then there was my colleague Eko Bahran Adinata as the event moderator. This award was given as a form of motivation and appreciation for participating in the Google my Business and Wikipedia workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shopping vouchers can be collected on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. If not taken on Wednesday the voucher will be declared void.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Google My Business and Wikipedia workshop held by Telkom University in February 2024 successfully emphasized the importance of a strong digital presence for educational institutions. Participants understood that Google My Business can increase visibility in search results and Google Maps. In addition, having an informative Wikipedia page can build a positive reputation and image for the university. The workshop also provided practical skills in managing GMB profiles and compiling content for Wikipedia, as well as increasing engagement between universities, alumni, and local communities.
