This review was conducted to discuss the obstacles and needs of Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta.

The readiness of lecture infrastructure on campus has an important role in supporting the smooth teaching and learning process. Adequate infrastructure not only includes physical facilities such as classrooms and laboratories, but also includes information technology, support services, and an environment that is conducive to students and lecturers. Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta, which is one of the branches of Telkom University’s main campus in Bandung, is not spared from this challenge. This article will review the readiness of the infrastructure

Discussion Related to Obstacles and Needs at Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta

As one of the centers of higher education in Jakarta, Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta faces various challenges and obstacles in managing existing infrastructure and facilities. These various obstacles, if not overcome immediately, can have an impact on the quality of the teaching and learning process and the comfort of students and lecturers. In this discussion, we will explore some of the main obstacles faced, as well as the urgent needs that must be met by the campus.

Physical Facilities

One of the main aspects of lecture infrastructure is physical facilities. Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta has been equipped with lecture buildings that are adequate enough to accommodate thousands of students. The available classrooms are large enough capacity, equipped with chairs, tables, and whiteboards. In addition, the campus also provides other supporting facilities such as a library, computer laboratory, and a comfortable reading room.

However, some students and lecturers complained about the condition of the classrooms that are sometimes poorly maintained. Some facilities in the classroom, such as projectors and air conditioners, often do not function optimally. This is certainly an obstacle in the teaching and learning process, especially for courses that require presentation support technology.

Information and Communication Technology

In today’s digital era, information technology is one of the important elements in the implementation of lectures. Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta has tried to keep up with this development by providing wireless internet networks (Wi-Fi) throughout the campus. This facility allows students and lecturers to access information and learning resources online, support the research process, and facilitate communication between lecturers and students through digital platforms.

Other Supporting Facilities

In addition to classrooms and information technology, Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta also has other supporting facilities that are important for student welfare. One of them is a canteen that provides food and drinks at affordable prices. Sports facilities, such as basketball courts and gyms, are also provided to support students’ physical activity and develop interests in non-academic fields.

However, parking facilities on this campus are often inadequate. With the increasing number of students owning private vehicles, parking lots are often full, so many students have to look for parking outside of campus areas, which is not always safe and comfortable. Increased parking capacity or other solutions such as campus transportation programs can be alternatives to address this problem.

Conducive Campus Environment

A clean and green campus environment is one of the advantages of Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta. The campus area filled with trees provides a cool and comfortable atmosphere for students who want to study or rest outdoors. This campus is also relatively safe, with security guards guarding various strategic points.

However, the challenge of the campus environment lies in hygiene issues in some areas, especially around canteens and public seating. Students and visitors are often undisciplined in maintaining cleanliness, so sometimes garbage accumulates in certain areas. More aggressive environmental awareness campaigns and the provision of more and affordable trash cans could be the solution to this problem.

With this discussion, it is hoped that Campus C Minangkabau Jakarta can continue to improve the quality of lecture implementation, so that students can learn in more optimal conditions
