Proper website content management at higher education institutions is crucial to ensure that the institution, as the source of academic content, can be easily accessed online. The ultimate goal of publishing content online is to provide access to information for the general public, enabling the institution’s content to have a far-reaching impact, rather than being used solely internally.
The PuTI Directorate as a directorate entrusted with monitoring and evaluating websites in the *.telkomuniversity.ac.id domain, in measuring the performance of website content management whether it is correct or not, is assisted through a ranking site.
College Ranking
The ranking sites used are:
- Webometrics, to measure that quality content that is rich in knowledge has been widely referenced by other sites through impact points and has been well published through openness points, see https://www.webometrics.info/en/detalles/telkomuniversity.ac.id
- UniRank / 4icu, to measure whether website content aligns with the profile of a university, which is commonly searched for online, including information about faculties, study programs, accreditation, and other academic and non-academic services provided to campus stakeholders. https://www.4icu.org/reviews/14983.htm
Workshop Target
In order to explain how the ranking obtains data, website managers/persons responsible for the Directorate, Work Units, Faculties, Study Programs, and other applications need to pay attention to the rules relating to website content, namely:
