The Directorate of the Information Technology Center has organized an Information Security Seminar on the importance of personal data protection, titled “Ubur-Ubur Ikan Lele, Data Aman, Hidup Tenang Le…” The event was held on February 26, 2025, at Damar Building, Telkom University. This event was designed to raise awareness among the Telkom University academic community about the importance of personal data protection in the digital era. The event began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, “Indonesia Raya,” and the Telkom University March, followed by prayers according to each participant’s beliefs. We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Dedy Rahman Wijaya, Director of the Information Technology Center, for delivering the opening remarks for the event.
Information Security Seminar Presentation Session
The seminar featured two speakers: Mr. Hanang Priambodo, Head of IT Security Affairs, and Ms. Sara Lutami Pardede, IT Security Affairs Staff. The first presentation was delivered by Mr. Hanang Priambodo, who explained general provisions on information security, types of personal data, and the rights of personal data subjects.
After the first presentation session, participants had the opportunity to engage in an interactive game through the Kahoot platform. In this session, participants played and tested their understanding of the presented material. Participants with the highest scores received door prizes as a form of appreciation.
The seminar continued with a presentation by Ms. Sara Lutami Pardede, who discussed various aspects of personal data protection, including restrictions on personal data usage, ethics in data management, risks of personal data breaches, and data security measures that individuals can implement.
Q&A Session
After the presentations by both speakers, the seminar continued with a Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions related to the topics covered.
Closing of the Information Security Seminar
The seminar concluded with a group photo session as part of event documentation. We also extend our gratitude to PT. Telkom Indonesia, PT. Dayak Nusantara Bersatu, PT. Mitra Sanjaya, and PT. Bhakti Unggul Teknovasi for sponsoring and supporting this event.
