The Workshop ”
iTop Combodo ITSM Implementation Assistance ” was held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Bandung. Today’s workshop was held with the aim of providing assistance related to the use of the iTop Combodo application by PuTI Telkom University Bandung to DTI (Information Technology Support) staff at Telkom University Jakarta. iTop Combodo is an application designed to facilitate the management of IT processes and operations efficiently. iTOP provides various features that include configuration management, change management, incident management, service request management, recovery management, maintenance management, and many other things that can be accessed and controlled using the iTop application. This application is supported by the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and can be customized to the needs of the organization.

Using the iTop application, companies can also manage hardware and software inventory, to manage relationships between IT components, track changes made to configurations, service requests and report performance and fulfillment of SLA (Service Lever Agreement). This activity is also based on a deeper understanding of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) which is a database used to store information related to item configurations (CI) in an IT environment. CI refers to all items related to IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, services and other elements used in IT operations.
CMDB serves as an organized knowledge center about CIs in an IT environment. It includes information such as attributes, status, relationships, and dependencies between CIs. CMDB helps organizations manage and track changes, and understand the impact of changes on other IT components.
The workshop activities were carried out by explaining the existing conditions at DTI TUJ and comparing them with the conditions of PuTI which had previously used the iTOP application. After the explanation of the application was explained, there were several discussions, questions and answers and application demos during the workshop. By conducting a mentoring workshop, it is hoped that DTI TUJ can begin to adapt to the use of the iTop application to be able to record all available databases.
