Telkom University’s Copywriting Competition July 2023

Telkom University’s Copywriting Competition 2023 is a competition where participants are invited to submit their blog posts that are in accordance with the specified topic or theme. This activity

was carried out to enliven the 33rd anniversary of Telkom University, and was organized by
the Directorate of Information Technology Center of Telkom University, Directorate of Secretariat & Strategic Planning and Directorate of Marketing & Admission.

From this activity, it is hoped that participants can create informative, interesting, and original articles related to Telkom University and the specified theme.

Competition Categories

Indonesian Language Article Competition, Domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id For Internal Tel U such as Students, Lecturers, and Staff of Telkom University (who have access to the domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id)

Telkom University review competition on social media with a link to the website domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id for the general public.

Indonesian Language Article Competition, Outside Domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id For the General Public such as Students, Lecturers, and Non-Telkom University Staff (may use personal or third party website domains)

English Article Competition, Domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id For Internal Tel U such as Students, Lecturers, and Staff of Telkom University (who have access to the domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id).

Website Content Publishing Competition https://campuslife.telkomuniversity.ac.id for the General Public. Content must be in accordance with the uploaded image and must be able to describe the image.

English Article Competition, Outside Domain *.telkomuniversity.ac.id For the General Public such as Students, Lecturers, and Non-Telkom University Staff (may use personal or third party website domains).

Article Requirements

Articles must consist of at least 500 words using Indonesian or English.

The article must be unique, pass plagiarism verification, be the result of your own writing and have never been entered in other similar competitions.

Articles in Indonesian or English for each category.

The article has never been published on print media pages, online media, blog/website media, and/or other publication media.

Articles must be published on one of the following media pages:

a. Print media page or;
b. Online media page or;
c. Blog/website page.

Articles must include a link to the website
https://telkomuniversity.ac.id/ in the form of journal references, articles and others.

Article: Must not violate the laws and norms that apply in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Every submitted article must be accompanied by proof of sharing on social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, at least on 5 social media that you own.

Rating System

Benefits of Writing 30%

This indicator assesses the usefulness of content for improving scientific sources in the field of Science & Art. Participants are expected to be able to create informative, useful and interesting articles according to the specified theme.

Creativity & Quality 20%

This indicator assesses the level of creativity of the writing and the overall quality of the presentation of the article. Participants are expected to be able to convey ideas in an interesting, flowing style that can captivate readers.

Originality 20%

Participants are expected to avoid plagiarism and present new ideas and creative personal views in their writing. The uniqueness of the approach and ideas in the writing will be judgement.

Suitability of Title and Content of Writing with Theme 15%

This indicator evaluates the extent to which the participant’s writing is relevant to the theme that has been determined for the competition. Participants are expected to ensure that the title and content of the writing consistently describe or support the chosen theme.

Strength of Argument and Supporting Evidence 15%

This indicator assesses the strength of the arguments presented in the participant’s writing and the ability to provide relevant and strong supporting evidence. Writing that is supported by valid evidence will receive a higher score.
