Telkom University’s PuTI Directorate Visits Universitas Indonesia

Bandung, October 30, 2025 – The Directorate of Information Technology Center (PuTI Telkom University) conducted an official visit to the University of Indonesia (UI), specifically to the Directorate of Digital Transformation (DTD), in order to strengthen collaboration and share best practices in the field of information technology. Received directly by the Director of Digital Transformation UI Dr. Muhammad Rifki Shihab, BBA, M.Sc. along with the leadership of the Directorate of Digital Transformation UI.

The visit was attended by the structural team of PuTI Telkom University, including the Director of PuTI, Mr. Rio Guntur Utomo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., who engaged in direct discussions with representatives from Universitas Indonesia. The discussion focused on application development, infrastructure enhancement, and Webometric improvement strategies—key aspects supporting digital transformation within higher education institutions.

Synergy for Application Development

One of the main focuses of PuTI Telkom University’s visit to Universitas Indonesia was discussing the development of applications that support academic and administrative activities.
Both parties exchanged insights on the integration of Single Sign-On (SSO) systems, academic portal optimization, and enhanced user data security.

This discussion marked an important step toward more efficient and user-friendly campus digital innovation, aligning with Telkom University’s commitment to advancing digital transformation in higher education.

Strengthening IT Infrastructure and Data Governance

In addition to application development, the visit also highlighted network infrastructure and data center governance. The teams from PuTI Telkom University and Universitas Indonesia shared experiences in implementing cloud computing, real-time server monitoring, and cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies.

The discussion aimed to create reliable, secure, and sustainable digital services as part of efforts to improve IT service quality at both universities.

Webometric Ranking and Digital Reputation Enhancement Strategies

Another key topic of discussion was the strategy for improving Telkom University’s Webometric ranking.
Both universities exchanged ideas on website content management, strengthening research visibility, and optimizing digital publication management to enhance global academic reputation.
