On Tuesday, April 15, 2025 , the Information Technology Center (PuTI) Directorate of Telkom University received a visit from the Information Technology Team from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). This visit was a comparative study conducted by ITB to learn best practices in software licensing management within Telkom University .
During the visit, ITB was represented by Mr. Yustinus Dwi Haryanto , and was welcomed directly by Mr. Hilfan Soeltansyah , as Head of Content and Information Technology Resources Affairs at the PuTI Directorate of Telkom University.
The discussion took place within the PuTI Directorate and focused on the license management process starting from:
- Planning and budgeting of licenses according to the needs of the academic community.
- Vendor procurement and contract management procedures .
- Distribution of licenses to employees and students , including technical aspects of delivery, automation, and user support.
- Monitoring and documentation of license compliance , to support good IT governance.
Telkom University shared its experience on how this mechanism was built centrally through the PuTI Directorate, thus ensuring that the available licenses are not only legal, but also distributed efficiently, transparently, and support the campus’ academic and administrative needs.usat melalui Direktorat PuTI, sehingga dapat memastikan bahwa lisensi yang tersedia tidak hanya legal, tetapi juga terdistribusi secara efisien, transparan, dan mendukung kebutuhan akademik maupun administratif kampus.
This visit reflects the appreciation and trust from other institutions towards the IT management system at Telkom University, and is a tangible proof of the campus’ commitment to building professional and accountable technology management practices.
