Bandung, August 28, 2025 – The structural board of the Information Technology Center (PuTI) Telkom University, together with PuTI Director Rio Guntur Utomo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., warmly welcomed a visit from Airlangga University (UNAIR). The meeting addressed strategic issues regarding Webometrics and the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education institutions.
Strategies and Implementation to Improve Webometrics Ranking
The discussion focused on strategic steps to strengthen the university’s reputation and international visibility through Webometrics. Key points included optimizing the official university website, enhancing research-based academic content quality, and leveraging digital platforms to expand the reach of scientific publications. These strategies are expected to make universities more competitive on a global scale.
Data Center Governance and Network Infrastructure
This topic highlighted the importance of strengthening data centers and network systems as the backbone of digital services. Discussions included efforts to maintain server reliability, apply data security standards, and ensure infrastructure sustainability to support academic and administrative activities efficiently. This aligns with the demands of modern universities that rely on digital services as their primary operational foundation.
Implementation and Management of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The final topic focused on how AI can be integrated to accelerate digital transformation. Beyond the discussions, the event also included a site tour of various facilities at PuTI Telkom University. Through this activity, UNAIR had the opportunity to directly observe the implementation of digital infrastructure, network security systems, and innovative services currently being developed by Telkom University.
