Telkom University Web Blog is an online blogging and publication platform provided and developed by Telkom University. This platform is dedicated to facilitating the publication of scientific articles, ideas, opinions, and documentation of activities for all elements of the campus environment, including: Employees, Students, Student Organizations, Research Groups , Research Centers , OpenSpace , and Campus Life activities .
As an Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based campus, this Web Blog was built not only as a one-way information medium, but also transformed into a collaborative space and interactive digital footprint for the entire Tel-U academic community.
The uniqueness of Telkom University’s Web Blog lies in its easy, integrated access using the institution’s Single Sign-On (SSO) service, as well as a content management system that allows users to directly publish articles or activities. This platform promotes the spirit of knowledge sharing and innovation, while also emphasizing Telkom University’s position as a center of academic excellence that actively contributes to the wider community through its digital literacy footprint.
Any best content that has academic, educational, or achievement value (such as research results or community service activities) has the potential to be managed and promoted further by the university to reach a wider audience.
Readers and Users are required to carefully read the Telkom University Web Blog Terms and Conditions. By accessing and/or registering/logging in to this platform, Users agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, as well as any policies regarding future changes or improvements.
Users are requested not to access and use this site if they do not agree to be bound by the Telkom University Web Blog Terms and Conditions.
The following are general definitions of the terms used in these Terms and Conditions:
- Telkom University is a higher education institution that provides and manages the Web Blog service facilities, including all the work units under it.
- Telkom University’s Web Blog is a blog-based publication platform whose content is entirely sourced from and managed by the academic community and campus units. The platform and trademarks are owned by Telkom University.
- A reader is any individual, whether from within or outside the campus environment, who accesses the Telkom University Blog website. Readers who are not logged in do not have access to post any content, including comments, on the platform.
- Users are registered members consisting of Employees (Lecturers/Staff), Students, representatives of Student Organizations, Research Groups , Research Centers , OpenSpace managers , and Campus Life units who have logged in using Telkom University SSO ( Single Sign-On ) account credentials (such as iGracias/campus Office365 account) and have a Web Blog Account.
- A Web Blog account identifies the owner of a blog on the Telkom University domain. Each account has a profile page or directory containing an index of user-owned content, accessible to readers through a dedicated link or subdomain provided by the institution.
- The Administrator is a party appointed by Telkom University (e.g., the Directorate of Information Technology Center /PuTI or the Public Relations department) who has the rights and access to manage the platform. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the system, monitoring activity, communicating with Users, and has full authority to issue warnings, remove content, or block User access if they are found to have violated the Terms and Conditions or the campus code of ethics.
- Content is material posted into the system and/or published on the Telkom University Web Blog, consisting of text, research documents, photo files , graphics, videos, audio, and comments by users. Content also includes material uploaded , linked , or embedded into the main material displayed.
Services and access to read content on the Telkom University Blog website are available to the general public. The Management (Telkom University) reserves the right to change, limit, or withdraw these services and access with or without prior notice, in accordance with the campus’ IT service operational governance procedures. The Management is also not responsible if, at any time and for a certain period, Users cannot access the site due to system maintenance or network infrastructure disruptions.
The following are the terms of use of the Telkom University Web Blog features and services:
1. Access and Registration
- The content creation and management features on the Web Blog can only be used by Users who have active status as academics or are part of an official campus entity (Employees, Students, Student Organizations, Research Groups , Research Centers , OpenSpace managers , and Campus Life ).
- Registration and authentication (login) into the integrated Web Blog using Telkom University Single Sign-On (SSO) (such as iGracias credentials or institutional email account).
- After successfully logging in, each User is automatically bound by all the provisions stated in the Terms and Conditions of this Web Blog and complies with the Telkom University Academic Code of Ethics.
2. Account Naming and Scope (Subdomain/Directory) When creating or selecting an Account/Blog name, Users are allowed to choose a name that represents themselves, their unit, or their study group, with the following provisions:
- Prohibition on Using Institution Names Without Permission: It is not permitted to use names that represent the official structure of a university, faculty, or study program (example: TelkomUniversityOfficial , Faculty of InformaticsTelU ) unless the account is managed directly by the management/Public Relations (PR) of the relevant unit.
- Prohibition on Use of External Trademarks: It is not permitted to use commercial trademark names or names of institutions outside Telkom University that may trigger violations of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Not a Web Address (URL): It is not allowed to use the web address format as an account name (example: www-accountname-com ).
- Manager Rights: Telkom University permits Managers to:
- Replacing and/or blocking accounts that use names that do not comply with academic ethics, norms of propriety, and Terms & Conditions.
- Changing and/or transferring ownership of the account name to the work unit, Research Center , or official Student Organization (BEM/HIMA/UKM) that has structural rights and authority over the name.
3. User Identity and Profile When using this service, Users are encouraged to complete their profile identity by referring to the following provisions:
- Complete a biodata that represents your academic status or research field (e.g.: Bachelor of Telecommunication Engineering Student, Lecturer at the Faculty of Creative Industries, etc.) as well as an appropriate profile photo/logo.
- Avoid using and displaying images/photos of other people’s or certain figures’ faces that could be categorized as impersonation . If there is a claim regarding a violation of privacy or identity, the Administrator reserves the right to remove the profile photo without warning.
4. Account Validation and Verification (Official Check) Considering that this Web Blog covers various campus entities, the Administrator provides a validation and status labeling mechanism ( verified label ) with the following provisions:
- Personal Account (Lecturer/Student/Staff): Validated automatically through a centralized authentication system (SSO) when first logging in , ensuring that the user is an active member of the academic community.
- Entity Account (Student Organization / Research Group / Unit): The verification process is carried out by attaching a Decree (SK) on establishment or a letter of application from the supervisor/head of the relevant unit.
- Official accounts (such as Research Centers , service units, or official student organizations) that pass verification will receive a special verified label to distinguish them from regular personal accounts. This is to ensure the validity of academic information.
5. User Rights and Facilities After having a connected account, Users can:
- Placing and/or displaying Content (articles, research reports, academic opinions, Campus Life documentation , etc.) that does not violate the Content Provisions.
- Manage content through the management dashboard ( Content Management System ) provided.
- Provide comments, discuss scientifically, and share content on various other social media platforms.
- Report content, comments, and/or accounts that are deemed to violate the Terms and Conditions, commit plagiarism, or violate campus ethics.
6. Security and Compliance
- Users are required to maintain the confidentiality of their SSO password , institutional email address , and other credentials. All activities occurring under these accounts are the sole responsibility of the credential holder.
- Users are required to comply with the Terms of Use when utilizing the campus IT facilities and are required to comply with the Content Provisions (including anti-plagiarism and copyright permission) when uploading scientific materials or documentation.
- The terms and conditions of use of this website are subject to the regulations of Telkom University campus life, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), and the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Users agree to be bound by the jurisdiction of these laws in the event of a dispute.
Content created and displayed on the Telkom University Web Blog must be in accordance with and not conflict with the values of the Tridharma of Higher Education, morality, public order, the Code of Ethics for the Academic Community, the Terms and Conditions of Service, and applicable laws and regulations within the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, all Users are required to comply with the following:
Before placing and/or displaying Content, Users are required to ensure that the material is purely their own work or has valid permission, and does not violate any written provisions.
1. Content Display Terms When displaying Content on the Telkom University Web Blog, Users are prohibited from :
- Create a title using CAPITAL LETTERS throughout (All-Caps).
- Displaying content in the form of text of less than 70 words, except for special categories such as Gallery/Activity Documentation, Infographics, or Design Works.
- Broadcasting more than one Content at the same time or in close proximity (Spam). The minimum allowed broadcast time between Content is one hour.
- Committing plagiarism in any form. This includes copying or pasting part or all of another person’s scientific work, articles, photos, or videos as if they were one’s own work.
- Including quotations without explicitly citing the source. Quoting from other sources is permitted in accordance with applicable scientific writing/citation rules, with a maximum quotation limit of 25 percent of the total content.
- Reposting the exact same content that was previously broadcast on this platform.
- Displaying snippets or excerpts of Content that are solely intended to direct ( clickbait/link farming ) visitors to original sources outside the Telkom University domain without providing context or added value to the information.
- Loading and/or displaying commercial promotional content or advertising from external parties that are not related to the university’s academic, student, research, or official partnership activities.
2. Multimedia Provisions (Photos, Videos, and Illustrations) When displaying photos, illustrations, references, research data, or other supplementary content, Users are required to :
- Mention the source (name of creator, Intellectual Property Rights owner, or agency) directly or via a link.
- Specifically cite the original source for content generated by internet searches. It is not permissible to simply cite the name of the search engine (e.g., “Source: Google” or “Source: Pinterest”) as the source of attribution.
3. Interaction and Content Management
- Before displaying Content, Users are required to select the category or label that best suits the content (e.g.: Research, Opinion, Campus Event , OpenSpace ).
- Users are prohibited from sending comments that are chain messages ( spamming ), whether accompanied by or without a specific link.
- With regard to Content that has been broadcast, Users are not permitted to manipulate the system (such as using bots ) regarding the Content attribute features, including the number of Readers ( pageviews ) and the number of Comments.
4. Administrator’s Prerogative Rights Regarding Content that has been entered into the system, the User grants permission to the Telkom University Web Blog Manager to:
- Delete all or part of the Content, documents, images and/or comments that violate the Campus Code of Ethics or Terms and Conditions, with or without complaints from other parties, and with or without prior notification.
- Placing complementary illustrative images/photos for the purposes of displaying the Main Article ( Headline ) on the front page of the site.
- Correcting errors in HTML structure/code, including font type and size, which can damage the site’s user interface .
- Edit Content categories or labels to fit the campus web directory structure.
5. User Responsibilities and Strict Prohibitions Users consciously display Content and are willing to take absolute personal/organizational responsibility for all material displayed. By using this service, Users understand and agree NOT to post Content that:
- Violating Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or copyrights of other parties.
- Attacking, slandering, intimidating, and/or bringing down the character of other academics (lecturers, students, education staff) or external parties.
- Debating or arguing against certain religious beliefs and rituals.
- Loading false information ( hoaxes ) or pseudoscience whose truth is in doubt intentionally to deceive readers.
- Contains elements of ethnicity, religion, race and inter-group relations (SARA), as well as discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, age or disability.
- Violates moral norms, contains elements of pornography or obscenity.
- Advocating unconstitutional actions, separatism, or acts that violate positive law in Indonesia.
- Contains harsh words, swear words, or visual content (graphic/horror) that is inappropriate for public consumption.
- Contains viruses, malware , malicious computer code, or performs script injection that can damage, disable, or overload Telkom University’s IT infrastructure servers and networks.
6. Disclaimer
- Users (including Students, Employees, or Research Groups ) are not permitted to call themselves Spokespersons, Public Relations , or official representatives of Telkom University institutions in any of their Content, unless they use an authorized official work unit account.
- The opinions, thoughts and views written in the Web Blog are entirely the responsibility of the Author/User and do not reflect the official stance of Telkom University.
- Telkom University is released from any legal claims, compensation, or liability for losses caused by User-generated Content.
7. Legal Compliance Telkom University Web Blog is subject to the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Indonesia, including the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). In the event of a complaint, report of a criminal act, or legal problem due to User Content, the university has the right to submit all information related to the Account owner, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address and SSO (Single Sign-On) authentication data, to the authorities (Police, Prosecutor’s Office, Court) in accordance with legal procedures and official requests from law enforcement agencies.
As a technology-based institution, Telkom University recognizes the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and supports its use to enhance academic productivity. Every user is permitted to use AI assistance within the scope of SAFE AI in the research process, data collection, or content modification, as long as it does not conflict with the Telkom University Web Blog CONTENT TERMS and is firmly guided by the principles of academic integrity.
However, the use of AI in content creation in the Telkom University Web Blog ecosystem has the following SAFE AI guidelines and limitations:
1. Permitted Use (Research and Writing Assistant) The use of AI-based tools (such as Large Language Models , image generators , etc.) is permitted and highly recommended if used only for:
- Enrichment of ideas ( brainstorming ) and initial reference search.
- Drafting a basic framework or content structure ( outlining ).
- Grammar editing, sentence structure correction, and typo (spelling) checking.
- Translating text or data for scientific study materials.
2. Limitations for Competitions and Institutional Appreciation For any Content entered in the selection of prize programs, student/lecturer blog competitions, credit point assessments, campus research grants, or affiliate programs organized by Telkom University, Users are strictly prohibited from producing work instantly using AI . The use of AI in this context is strictly limited to the first point (as a framework and spelling aid).
3. Originality and Main Article (Headline)
- Any Content that is detected by the system (via AI checker/detector ) as being created entirely or mostly by AI without any personal touch, critical thinking, or additional analysis from the Author, will not be recommended for optimization or display as a Main Article ( Headline ) on the front page of the Web Blog.
- This rule is implemented to safeguard the quality of literacy, maintain the originality of research, and respect the authenticity of ideas that arise directly from the experiences and thought processes of Telkom University academics.
4. Transparency Obligation (AI Declaration) If Users (especially Research Groups or Lecturers/Students) use AI generative illustration images or attach text that is significantly assisted by AI for the purposes of explaining technical data, Users are encouraged to include attribution or footnotes (e.g.: “The illustrations in this article were generated using the assistance of AI [Platform Name]” ).
1. GROUP PROVISIONS (WORK UNITS, STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS, AND RESEARCH GROUPS)
Groups or communities (including Research Groups , Research Centers , Student Organizations, and OpenSpace ) formed and active on the Telkom University Web Blog must be in line with the values of the Tridharma of Higher Education and not conflict with morality, public order, Terms and Conditions of service, the Code of Ethics of the Academic Community, and laws and regulations in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Before creating and being active on a group page/community directory, the Group Manager (Group Administrator) and its members must ensure that all content and interactions within it comply with the following:
When working on the Telkom University Web Blog group page, all group members are strictly prohibited from :
- Attacking, insulting, carrying out cyberbullying , and/or bringing down the character of other academics or external parties.
- Debating and/or contesting certain religious teachings that have the potential to trigger sectarian conflict.
- Placing any Content or script that could damage, disable, overload, or disrupt Telkom University’s IT servers or network infrastructure.
By being active on the group page, all members understand and agree not to use, download, link, embed, and/or display content that :
- Violates Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patents, trademarks, paywalled journals , trade secrets, or third party copyrights.
- Threatens safety, slanders, defames, deceives, or instigates hatred against individuals/groups.
- Containing false information ( hoaxes ), manipulation of research data, or academic misinformation intentionally to deceive readers.
- Offending, harassing, demeaning, intimidating, or inciting hostility based on ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group relations (SARA), gender bias, sexual orientation, age, or physical/mental disability.
- Violates moral norms, contains elements of obscenity and pornography.
- Encouraging or suggesting actions that violate positive law and campus regulations (including academic cheating/assignment jockeys).
- Contains swear words, images, or graphic forms of horror (gore) that have no educational/medical value and cause feelings of horror/disgust.
- Spreading radicalism/separatism ideology or teachings which are prohibited by law in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Contains viruses, malware , cracking tools , or facilitates unauthorized access to the campus network.
2. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES (CAMPUS COMMUNITY EVENTS)
As an active campus, the Web Blog facilitates the announcement of campus activities. Each entity (BEM, HIMA, UKM, Research Center , OpenSpace , etc.) that has joined has the right to organize and publish activities ( events , seminars, workshops , competitions) on the Telkom University Web Blog page. However, there are authorization limitations as follows:
- Institutional Affiliation Restrictions: Members and group administrators are not permitted to affiliate themselves or use the institutional name “Telkom University” as the Main Organizer when establishing cooperation or sponsorship with external parties, unless they have obtained official permission or a Decree (SK) from the Rectorate / relevant Directorate (e.g.: Directorate of Student Affairs or Directorate of Research).
- Use of Entity Names: For independent/community activities, organizers are required to use the name of their respective organizations or groups (e.g., “Telecommunication Student Association,” “Art Student Activity Unit,” or “IoT Research Group”). Telkom University’s Web Blog only acts as a publication platform.
- Release of Liability: Telkom University is released from any legal claims, financial compensation, or operational liability for the implementation of events organized by communities/groups independently that do not involve institutions formally.
3. LEGAL COMPLIANCE AND INVESTIGATIONS
Telkom University’s Web Blog infrastructure and services are subject to the applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Indonesia (including the ITE Law).
Therefore, if there is a complaint, report of alleged criminal acts, or legal problems caused by the Content or activities of the Group/Community, Telkom University has the right and is willing to submit all information related to the Account owner and Group Manager—including system credentials, log history, and Internet Protocol (IP) address—to authorized officials (Police Investigators, Prosecutors, Courts) based on an official request/assignment letter from the law enforcement institutions of the Republic of Indonesia.
1. Platform Copyright (System and Interface)
- All product designs and Web Blog infrastructure, including but not limited to database structure, interface design ( User Interface ), built-in graphic assets, domain/subdomain names, and programming code within this service are the exclusive copyright of Telkom University .
- Users are not permitted to use, copy, modify, change, exploit, or reverse engineer any part or all of the Telkom University Web Blog system design for any purpose without written permission from the Directorate of Information Technology Center (PuTI) or authorized unit at Telkom University.
- The use of the institution’s visual identity such as the name, logo, and/or official attributes of Telkom University for any purpose outside of legitimate academic activities must obtain official permission from the Public Relations department or the relevant directorate.
2. Copyright of User Content
- Any original content (articles, opinions, documentation of activities, etc.) placed and/or displayed on the Telkom University Web Blog, as long as there are no claims of proof to the contrary from other parties, is entirely the intellectual copyright of the User (Author/Creator) who displays it.
- Exceptions apply if the Content is the result of a research grant, final project, or official institutional project whose IPR ownership is regulated separately through a university contract/decree.
3. Attribution and Use of Third Party Content
- Users, Readers, or Web Blog Accessors are not permitted to take, download, link, duplicate, and/or attach Content from this platform to other places without including the name of the Content creator (User) along with the original link source (URL), in accordance with applicable citation rules and academic ethics.
- If a User uses another party’s content (such as journal excerpts, third-party images, or external literature) in their broadcast material, copyright to that material remains the property of the original creator. All legal risks and claims related to the unauthorized use of third-party content are the sole responsibility of the user who broadcasts it.
4. Utilization of Content by Institutions (Telkom University)
- Users grant Telkom University non-exclusive, royalty-free rights to use, reproduce, or republish User Content (such as achievement articles, Campus Life documentation , or research summaries) for the purposes of institutional promotion, accreditation, official campus social media publications, and academic archiving. Telkom University will still include the User’s credit/name as the creator of the work.
- Telkom University can recommend high-quality Content to external parties (such as print media, news portals, or partner journals), but the use and publication of such Content outside the campus domain must still have the permission of the User as the Content owner.
5. Commercial Use
- Use of Content contained in the Telkom University Web Blog for commercial purposes or external monetization may only be done with written permission from the User as the owner of the Content and may not conflict with Telkom University’s research commercialization policy.
6. Release of Intellectual Property Liability (Indemnification)
- Telkom University and all its directors, employees, and affiliated units are released from all legal claims, compensation, and liability for violations of Intellectual Property Rights (including plagiarism, copyright theft, or patents) committed by Users or third parties against Content placed on the Telkom University Web Blog.

- Users are personally, absolutely, and fully responsible for all Content they create and display on the Telkom University Web Blog. Users agree to indemnify and hold Telkom University, its leadership, faculties, directorates, and affiliates, harmless from any complaints, protests, claims, copyright infringement lawsuits, or legal issues arising from the posting of such Content.
- Telkom University and its affiliates are not responsible for ensuring the truthfulness, accuracy, authenticity of information, or validity of research data in any Content uploaded by Users. All material or opinions expressed are the sole responsibility of the Author/User.

2. Content and Account Reporting Provisions In order to maintain a healthy campus digital ecosystem, avoid plagiarism, violation of norms, and compliance with applicable laws, Telkom University provides a Reporting feature with the following provisions:
- Administrators cannot manually monitor all incoming content at all times. Therefore, Users and Readers are strongly encouraged to participate in monitoring and supervising Content and Comments by using the “Report Content” feature.
- Users and Readers can also report other User Accounts that are indicated to be disturbing comfort, spreading hoaxes , violating academic integrity, or violating the Terms of Service by using the ‘Report Account’ feature available on each User’s Profile Page.
- The reporting feature on the Telkom University Web Blog may only be used in good faith to participate in content monitoring and quality control. This feature may not be used for abuse, cyberbullying, personal animosity, or the responsible suppression of academic freedom. Administrators will issue stern warnings for misuse of the reporting feature.
3. Follow-up on Reports and Sanctions Telkom University Web Blog Management will carefully study, verify, and process every incoming report within a maximum of 2 x 24 hours on campus operational working days. Based on the results of the review, the Management has the prerogative to take administrative action and apply necessary sanctions, which include but are not limited to:
- Issuance of Written Warning (via User’s institutional email ).
- Unilateral takedown or deletion of content .
- Blocking access to the User’s Web Blog Account (either temporary or permanent suspension), without removing the access status of his/her main credentials in Telkom University’s core service systems (such as iGracias, MyTelU, SATU).
- Telkom University (as the service provider and administrator) reserves the right to change, improve, limit, and/or discontinue any or all services and features on the Web Blog platform at any time without prior notice. This action may be taken for infrastructure adjustments, system maintenance , security evaluations, or updates to information technology governance policies on campus.
- Telkom University has the absolute authority to change, add, or remove any clauses in these Terms and Conditions of Service at any time without requiring individual prior notification to each User. By continuing to access and use the Telkom University Web Blog, Users automatically agree to and are bound by any changes or updates to these terms and conditions.
COMPLIANCE WITH ITE AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (PDP) LAWS
In using the Telkom University Web Blog service, publishing Content, or interacting within the platform, every User (academic community) is subject to and absolutely bound by the provisions of positive law applicable in the jurisdiction of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Telkom University prioritizes ethical digital communication and respect for privacy. Therefore, all electronic activities on this platform are guided by the following laws and regulations:
1. The Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) regulates the procedures for using information technology, prohibits the dissemination of illegal content (such as hoaxes, hate speech, defamation, and indecency), and the validity of electronic documents. These regulations cover:
- Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions.
- Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008.

2. PRIVACY POLICY WEB BLOG TELKOM UNIVERSITY
Telkom University is fully committed to protecting the personal data of all academics (students, lecturers, and administrative staff), alumni, partners, and general visitors. Therefore, in this Privacy Policy, we implement technology, human resource, and IT governance safeguards that comply with applicable Indonesian law, particularly the Personal Data Protection Act (PDP Law).
The Privacy Policy on this page helps you understand how Telkom University collects, processes, analyzes, stores, uses, and/or destroys your Personal Data identified in connection with the use of the campus Web Blog service.
A. DEFINITION
- Telkom University / We means the higher education institution Telkom University and all work units, directorates, and faculties under it.
- Affiliation means student activity units, Research Centers , research institutions, or other official entities under the auspices of Telkom University.
- Service / Portal means the Telkom University Web Blog platform along with the features, applications, and subdomains therein.
- User / You are any party (academic community or public) who uses, accesses, and/or is registered on the Web Blog platform.
- Personal Data means data or information about you that We obtain through interactions on the Portal, whether directly identified (such as Name, Student ID/ID, institutional email) or indirectly.
B. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Data within the Telkom University Web Blog platform. User’s primary credentials are managed centrally through the institution’s Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication system (such as iGracias / Office 365 Campus).
C. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION
We collect, process and use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Academic and Administrative Functions: To validate the membership status of the academic community when logging in and provide writing access rights.
- Providing Information: Sending notifications regarding service updates, campus activity information ( Campus Events ), academic announcements, or institutional newsletters .
- Analysis and Development: Analyze User behavior in aggregate to improve the interface (UI/UX) and enhance the quality of campus IT infrastructure services.
- Service Protection: Prevent illegal activity, track account abuse, detect spam , plagiarism, and maintain network security from potential hacking.
D. DATA WE COLLECT
1. Data Provided Directly:
- Full Name
- Student Identification Number (NIM) / Employee Identification Number (NIP)
- Institutional email address
- Study Program / Faculty / Work Unit
- Profile photo and brief biographical information
- Content, documents, or comments uploaded to the platform.
2. Automatically Collected Data:
- Device & Access Information: IP ( Internet Protocol ) address, browser type , operating system, and access time and date.
- Cookies : We use cookies (small text files stored on your device) to store your SSO login session so you don’t have to re-enter your password, as well aspurely analytical cookies for pageview statistics . You can manage or block cookies through your browser, but this may limit the functionality of the service.
E. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
We value your privacy. We never collect personal data outside the context of the service, such as access to your device’s private photo gallery, the content of private chat messages , or your device’s contact list/phone book.
F. SECURITY AND USER RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Security: The confidentiality of your personal data is a priority for the Telkom University Information Technology Center (PuTI) Directorate. We use encryption standards (such as SSL/HTTPS) for data transmission and store information on secure campus servers .
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your SSO credentials (Username and Password). We are not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of your negligence in sharing your password with others (e.g., job-hunting or phishing practices ).
G. TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND EXTERNAL LINKS
- Logging : The system automatically records activity for IT audit trail purposes to detect network anomalies or legal violations.
- External Links: Articles on the Web Blog may contain links to sites outside the Telkom University domain. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before leaving our site.
- Legal Request: We reserve the right to submit log recordings or Personal Data to law enforcement authorities upon formal request in connection with a legal proceeding, in accordance with the ITE Law.
H. UNDERAGE USERS
This Web Blog’s content creation service is intended for active students and institutional employees who are legally categorized as adults (over 18 years of age). For general readers/the public who are minors, use of this site is entirely the responsibility of a parent or guardian.
I. REVOKING CONSENT AND DELETION OF DATA
- You can review and change profile information (such as blog bio) directly through the User Dashboard.
- Because the Web Blog account is integrated with the campus single identity (SSO), permanent deletion of the blog account can only be done if your academic/employee status has ended, or through a written request.
- To request removal of specific Content or deactivation of your blog space, you can contact the IT services Administrator.
J. EMAIL COMMUNICATION
If you contact us via email, we will retain a history of the conversation for technical troubleshooting purposes ( Helpdesk ticket system ). We recommend that you do not send highly confidential data (such as passwords in clear text) via email.
K. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any disputes related to this policy will be resolved amicably and peacefully within Telkom University. If consensus cannot be reached, the resolution will be guided by the laws and regulations of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
L. POLICY CHANGES
Telkom University may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect government regulations or the latest IT infrastructure. Changes will be announced on this page. By continuing to use the service, you are deemed to have agreed to these updates.
