MyBidan Telkom University Health Service Application

Bandung, Telkom University Another Health Service Application that was successfully created by Telkom University Students is My Midwife. MyBidan is a web-based application that functions to provide information & educate as well as monitoring the health of toddlers and pregnant women. By utilizing the MyBidan platform, it is hoped that it can anticipate stunting from an early age. This MyBidan application is the result of the Innovillage competition which is a sociopreneurship competency between PT Telkom Indonesia and Telkom University .

MyBidan Features

Through this program, Telkom University is able to create a Health Service application that can provide benefits to existing Health Services within the Telkom University campus , as well as provide solutions for the community around the campus to help improve the quality of Health. The background of making the MyBidan application is because there are more and more stunting problems in Indonesia. Where a Stunting itself is a condition where the child’s height is below the standard and is caused by the following factors:

  1. Limited knowledge of pregnant women.
  2. They still don’t care about nutrition problems.
  3. Midwives still do the recording manually and it is very possible for human error.
  4. The socialization that has been held by the village at this time has not had a big impact.
  5. The condition of the covid-19 pandemic that makes a meeting or class program for pregnant women

The MyBidan application was created by students of the Information Systems S1 Study Program , Faculty of Industrial Engineering, namely by the Al Jazari Team consisting of Muhammad Ilham Alhari (SI 2018), Widia Febriyani (SI 2017) and Wader Trisepa Jonson (SI 2018) with the competition supervisor, Asti Amalia Nur Fajrillah. The idea for this program is then developed in a social project proposal and video.

In the competence of Innovillage itself, the Telkom University MyBidan Health Service Application won first place and entered the 100 selected proposals which would then proceed to the implementation stage. Currently, the MyBidan Health Service Application has begun to be implemented in one of the health agencies in Sragen City, Central Java, namely the Mondokan Health Center which is also implemented in Bandung City through the TANGINAS Program (Stunting Response with Safe and Healthy Handling). In addition to implementing the application, Telkom University also conducted door-to-door outreach to local residents’ homes and provided education on the importance of stunting prevention from an early age.

It is hoped that from the creation of the MyBidan Application, Telkom University can continue to innovate in supporting Health Services in the campus environment and participate in advancing Health technology in Indonesia.
